Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivert to support an elder in their own home. As an in-home caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life by assisting with night and weekend activities, personal care, and companionship. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and engage in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients’ health conditions.
- Help with mobility assistance, including transferring client in and out of bed or wheelchair as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
- Document care provided and any changes in client condition accurately.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is required.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine practices is a plus.
- Understanding of geriatrics and the specific needs of elderly clients is highly valued.
- Ability to provide both inpatient and outpatient care as needed.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy are essential for this role.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
