Sales Associate
Summary Description
The Sales Associate will report directly to the Sales Manager. They will be responsible with carrying out multiple tasks daily. Organization, timeliness, follow-through, self-motivation, detail oriented, communication and ability to follow direction are key areas for a successful sales associate. Coordinate with Sales Manager to ensure the best overall performance is achieved from the sales department. Sales Associate will provide prompt, dependable, high integrity vehicle sales to customers by using current pro-active feature benefit sales techniques.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Department Operations:
· Assist Sales Manager in maintaining a smooth running, efficient, profitable department with high degree of customer satisfaction
· Use floor time effectively to meet customer needs and solicit sales of all products
· Practice a feature/benefit selling methodology so that all customers receive a consistent treatment
· Continued training and role play sessions daily to keep current with sales techniques
· Assist in training of all staffing in Sales Department
· Ensure CRM is accurate and maintained daily
Customer Service:
· Greet Customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner
· Handle telephone calls quickly and courteously
· Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude
· Ensure the delivery to customers is a “Kick Ass Experience” which endears the customer to the dealership
· Ensure customers are properly qualified for needs, wants, and ability to buy.
· Ensure cross sales of P&A, financing, general merchandise, warranties, HOG Dues, insurance products and services.
Facilities:
· Maintain cleanliness of department sales floor, storage rooms, bathrooms and break area

Qualifications and Job Requirements:
· Superior communication and customer service skills
· Ability to manage multiple customers
· Prefer knowledge and experience with sales of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
· Treat all employees and customers fairly, courteously, and with dignity.
· Model superior customer service behavior for all sales personnel by maintaining positive relationships with customers, employees GM and owner(s).
· Remain current with all sales department training available by reviewing HDU, Sam’s Wheel House and attending seminars, workshops, and other related training programs.
· Be prompt and available for flexible scheduling.
· Be honest and fair in all business dealings.
· Demonstrate an interest in growing the sales business.
· Driver’s License
· Motorcycle License Preferred
Working Conditions:
· Frequently works near moving mechanical parts
· Potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department
· Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes or airborne particles
· Working in both indoor and outdoor settings where temperature/weather conditions are unpredictable
· Ability to lift 50 lbs
· Ability to balance and push a motorcycle
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.91 - $33.00 per hour
