SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION
The Porter/Detailer position is a physically demanding role that requires an individual capable of multi-tasking, attention to detail, self-motivated and organized. This position requires the ability to drive a variety of company vehicles to pick up and drop off customers’ motorcycles. Direct reporting to Service Lead and will take direction from techs.

- Prepare techs for all jobs
- Remove trash and keep cleaned/organized service areas
- Help Service Department employees to run an efficient and customer oriented department.
- Wash Motorcycles. Ensure they are cleaner than when customer dropped them off.
- Detail all new and used motorcycles
- Assist Technicians with keeping the service department clean and organized.
- Maintain and periodically check inventory of charged motorcycle batteries.
- Re-fill stock of oil, electrolyte material, or other supplies, as needed.
- Assist technicians or other dealership personnel, when asked.
- Drive variety of vehicles for motorcycle pick up and drop off

- Greet external customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Handle requests quickly, and courteously.
- Perform phone calls in professional manner
- Keep all areas of department clean, neat and organized. Including, but not limited to Service, Selling Floor, Third floor storage, company vehicles, breakrooms and restrooms.
- Contribute in vehicle maintained
- Contribute to set up/tear down of offsite and on-site events

- Wear appropriate shop uniform each and every day.
- Maintain professional appearance and attitude.
- Complete all training programs and their related tests by required deadlines. The Assistant Manager assigns all required training.
Ability to accept and follow directions
· Demonstrated willingness to work flexible hours.
· Ability to load/secure motorcycle in all situations
Physical Demands
· The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
· Requires the use of both hands.
· Requires the ability to balance and push a 90 lb. motorcycle.
· Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift 50 lb. of material.
Working Conditions
· Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
· Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
· Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Detailing: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
