Hope Center Manager – FT (SLC)

House of Hope
Salt Lake, UT Full Time
POSTED ON 2/7/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 4/6/2025

House of Hope (HOH), a local nonprofit, empowers women, strengthens families, and promotes recovery in our community. As Utah’s oldest treatment center, we have a long legacy of employing staff who are dedicated to the mission of spreading hope, nurturing healing, and encouraging personal growth in our colleagues, our clients, and our organization. We offer a culture of camaraderie, creativity, and collaboration as we work collectively to make a difference in the lives of the families we serve.

We are seeking a new manager with a passion for helping children and making a difference in the social work field! House of Hope, established in 1953 to strengthen families, is a great setting to receive comprehensive training in community resources, family reunification, and meeting the needs of high-risk families. Our non-profit organization is unique in that we specialize in working with young children (birth-age 8) in residential and outpatient treatment with the majority reunifying with his or her mother while she attends substance use disorders treatment at House of Hope. This collaboration of services gives each child a better chance of building a stronger bond with a mother who is working toward recovery and self-sufficiency in the community.

The Hope Center for Children cares for children (6 months to 8 years) in a day treatment program offering therapeutic childcare, social development skills, play therapy and various family services for those participating in the House of Hope continuum of care. This position is for a manager to ensure that the program is operated at the highest level of quality for the young children who attend the program. (The Hope Center number of children has decreased during Covid-19 and is currently serving an average of 12 children a day but we plan to return to 24-36 children over the next 12 months).

The successful House of Hope applicant will:

· Be passionate about working with young children and their parents

· Demonstrate leadership skills with experience supervising and mentoring others in a similar field

· Be proficient in child development skills and working with families

· Be an organized, multi-tasker, who is calm in a crisis and proficient at problem solving.
