What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Associate position at House of Raeford Farms Inc?
General Purpose: Commitment to outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
Primary Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for coordinating shipping and packing activities with production
- Scale and ship orders on a timely and accurate basis
- Collecting all orders at a central point and accurately labeling the orders
- Using the computer and scanning gun to move the product to ensure that poultry combos are accountable and ready for shipping
- Producing packing slips, invoices and purchase orders accurately to Shipping Clerk
- Interacting with teammates to ensure all orders are packed efficiently and timely
- Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs
- Ensure compliance with established food safety programs, including HACCP programs, SSOPs and GMPs.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

- Must wear correct job specific PPE as designated by company policy
- Be able to work overtime when needed
