Main Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance:
Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on processing equipment, including conveyors, cutters, chillers, pumps, and packaging machines.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to ensure timely resolution. - Operational Support:
Assist production staff with equipment setup and adjustments to optimize processing performance.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, ensuring quick and efficient resolution to minimize production downtime.
Collaborate with production and quality control teams to ensure equipment is functioning according to health and safety standards. - Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and equipment performance.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including USDA, OSHA, and HACCP requirements.
Participate in safety audits, training, and meetings to stay current on safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a poultry processing or food manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, work in cold or hot environments, and stand for extended periods.
