Sales Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to drive sales. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers while effectively managing inventory and supporting store operations.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to provide outstanding service and support their shopping needs.
• Utilize effective sales techniques, including upselling, to maximize sales opportunities.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions and returns.
• Maintain stock levels by organizing and restocking merchandise on the sales floor.
• Assist in supervising store operations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
• Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management.
• Ensure the grocery store environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales or retail is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
• Basic math skills, including retail math, to handle transactions accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Experience with inventory management or stock organization is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
