Job Summary
The Inventory Associate supports the Inventory Manager in maintaining accurate records, organizing stock, and ensuring compliance with Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) regulations. This role involves hands-on work with product intake, labeling, storage, and inventory tracking systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to contribute to the smooth operation of a regulated retail environment.

However:
- Collaborate with the Inventory Manager and team to ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.
- Provide guidance to team members during group tasks, such as inventory counts or product organization, as directed by the Inventory Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming cannabis products, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Accurately label and store products according to CCC regulations and company procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits, reporting discrepancies to the Inventory Manager.
- Organize and maintain storage areas, ensuring compliance with cleanliness, security, and safety standards.
- Support the disposal process for expired or defective products under the supervision of the Inventory Manager.
Compliance & Tracking:
- Update and maintain inventory data in the METRC seed-to-sale tracking system and internal systems.
- Ensure proper documentation of all inventory activities, including product transfers, adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Adhere to all CCC regulations regarding packaging, labeling, and tracking requirements.
- Monitor product expiration dates and collaborate with the Inventory Manager to manage stock rotation.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales and inventory teams to ensure product availability and accurate online menu updates.
- Assist with preparing inventory for sales, promotions, and special events.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding inventory levels and potential stock issues.
Required Skills/Abilities

Education and Experience
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail, inventory, or a related role.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry tasks.
- Must be 21 years or older and able to pass background checks required by Massachusetts law.
Preferred:
- Experience with METRC seed-to-sale tracking or similar inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts cannabis laws and regulations (training will be provided).
- Knowledge of cannabis products, including strains, forms, and consumption methods.
Physical Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Lift and carry a 45 pound case of product on a repetitive basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
