Job Summary -

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide inventory specialists, ensuring accurate tracking, organization, and reporting of inventory.
- Train team members on inventory procedures, METRC usage, and compliance protocols.
- Assign and oversee daily inventory-related tasks, including product intake, audits, and stock replenishment.
- Monitor team performance, providing feedback and coaching to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to address performance issues or disciplinary matters involving inventory staff.
- Ensure all team members adhere to Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) regulations and company policies related to inventory management.
Duties/Responsibilities
Inventory Oversight:
- Manage all aspects of inventory, including receiving, storing, tracking, and reconciling cannabis products.
- Oversee METRC seed-to-sale tracking, ensuring all data is accurately entered and reconciled.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to verify stock levels, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain organized inventory storage areas, adhering to CCC regulations and company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation to maintain product freshness and quality.
Wholesale Ordering:
- Identify product needs based on sales trends, inventory levels, and customer demand.
- Establish and maintain relationships with licensed cannabis vendors and suppliers.
- Place wholesale orders to ensure consistent availability of high-demand products while avoiding overstocking.
- Review and negotiate vendor contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with vendors to schedule timely deliveries and verify the accuracy of received orders.
Compliance Management:
- Ensure all inventory practices comply with Massachusetts cannabis laws, including proper labeling, packaging, and tracking requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records for CCC audits and inspections.
- Train staff on proper handling and storage of cannabis products to maintain compliance and quality standards.
Operational Efficiency:
- Collaborate with the General Manager and sales team to maintain an accurate online menu reflecting real-time inventory availability.
- Identify slow-moving or overstocked items and suggest promotional or clearance strategies.
- Manage the disposal process for expired or defective products in accordance with CCC guidelines.
- Develop and implement efficient inventory processes to reduce waste and improve accuracy.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales floor team to ensure proper stock rotation and availability of high-demand products.
- Support training initiatives related to inventory handling, compliance procedures, and new product knowledge.
- Serve as a resource for team members on inventory-related questions and vendor insights.
Required Skills/Abilities

Education and Experience
· Minimum of 2 years of inventory management experience, preferably in cannabis, retail, or a regulated industry.
· Strong understanding of Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) regulations.
· Proficiency in METRC seed-to-sale tracking system or equivalent inventory software.
· Demonstrated experience in wholesale ordering, vendor negotiations, and inventory forecasting.
· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Must be 21 years or older and able to pass background checks required by Massachusetts law.
Physical Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Lift and carry a 45 pound case of product on a repetitive basis.
