Personal Assistant

Seeking a part-time evening caregiver for our 35-year-old daughter, a professor who will be working mostly from home due to disability. Help needed some weekday evenings from 5-10pm. You may choose which evenings you work (flexible). Other occasional hours available when full-time caregivers need time off.

She has a medical condition needing constant monitoring and occasional intervention. Some local travel.

While you must be constantly vigilant, you may read, study, or engage in other quiet activities while working while maintaining focus. Ideal job for a student, avid reader, etc.

Must have excellent references. Must demonstrate patience and kindness. Must be neat, clean, and able to work with others. On-the-job training is provided to ensure comfort with medical condition

Since our daughter is medically fragile, the caregiver must be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment per her physician.

Please note that this is a legal job paid via check. We do not pay cash.

Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to one individual
- Keep individual safe while walking. Monitor safety while sitting.
- No personal hygiene assistance required. Individual bathes, dresses, and grooms herself.
- Assist with preparing breakfast on occasion.
- Minor local travel to accompany individual to appointments, errands, and social activities. No driving required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with mobility using proper techniques.
- Monitor and report any changes in the individual's condition to family members.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Physically able to provide support while walking and lower an individual to a safe position when needed.
- Vigilant to monitor changes in individual's condition and keep them safe at all times.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to be prompt and on time to support individual's morning routine.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals and their families.
- Updated vaccinations are a required condition of employment.
