After-School Nanny for Two Children

Job Type: Part-time, Long-term 
Location: Huntington, NY 11743
Hours: Monday - Friday, 1 PM - 7 PM ( flexible with hours, they can do 3 - 7 or 2 - 7, to make up more hours they are okay with some weekend hours as well.)
Pay: $35/hour (take home)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a warm, professional, and organized nanny to care for  two children, ages 6 and 3, in the afternoons and early evenings. The children attend school during the day, and need someone to help ensure a smooth, structured after-school routine and support with household tasks related to their care. They are looking for a candidate who takes childcare seriously, has a calm, empathetic nature, and pays close attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare healthy, kid-friendly meals.
• Assist with bathing and the evening routine.
• Keep children engaged with structured activities or quiet time as appropriate.
• Organize and maintain the children’s rooms, play spaces, and belongings.
• Handle children's laundry, change bed linens, and keep their areas neat and tidy.
• Plan ahead for meals, including grocery shopping as needed.
• Occasionally support the family with small errands related to the children.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in childcare or as a nanny.
• A warm, empathetic, and patient approach to caring for children.
• Strong organizational skills and a meticulous approach to maintaining the household.
• Ability to structure daily activities for children.
• Must be proactive, dependable, and committed to a long-term position.
• Non-smoker; must be comfortable with a pet-free household.
