Assistant Caretaker - Greenwich, CT
This is a live-out position
Hours are:
Off-Season: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Off weekends (September to June)
In-Season (principal in residence): Tuesday – Saturday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Off Sunday and Monday (July to Labor Day)
**Must be fluent in English.
**Must have your own vehicle to commute to and from work.
**Live within a commutable distance of the Greenwich house
Position Compensation:
Salary: $70-75K Annually, paid on payroll, DOE, may be negotiable for the right candidate.
Benefits:
After one year of employment: 2 weeks paid vacation, 5 paid personal days, one week salary as end of year bonus. Salary and benefits are assessed on a yearly basis.
• No health insurance is offered.
Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist the caretaker in all work at the main house, boat house, and property
- Occasionally drive principal to and from Greenwich shopping areas
- Occasionally drive principal to her residence in New York City - Must know how to navigate around Manhattan
- Occasionally drive staff to do errands and to the train station
- Mow lawns at the main house (30 acres) and boathouse (3 acres)
- Handyman knowledge: light repairs
- Do errands and special requests for the principal
Vehicle Maintenance:
Responsible for maintaining the following vehicles:
- Lexus LX 570 4 x 4 2020
- Suburban 2015 4 x 4 2015
- Mercedes Benz S-Class sedan 2010
- Chrysler Pacifica Touring L van 2021
- Silverado KL2500hd pickup truck 2014
- 2 work carts: Polaris Ranger 2008 and green golf cart
All cars are to be kept clean inside and out and a full tank of gas at all times
All vehicles to be maintained in pristine condition, prepped and ready at all times
- Maintenance upkeep: oil change, tires rotated, multi-point check on all fluids including coolant, windshield wiper, etc.

Additional Requirements:
- Experience: 5 Years of Experience with longevity in your previous roles (3 years at individual positions)
- References: Minimum of 3 References
- Background: Background check upon a contingent offer of hire
- Personality Traits: Reliable, honest, hard-working, organized, excellent communication skills, flexible, and professional.
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
