Job Description: Full-Time Live-In Companion/Caregiver
Employer: 70-year-old male with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), requiring full-time wheelchair assistance.
Location: Travel between residences in Boston, Cape Cod, Boca Grande, and Nevada. International travel 2-3 times per year via private plane. Immediate travel planned to South America in January.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care and companionship.
- Assist with daily living activities, including help with bathroom needs and attending appointments.
- Collaborate effectively with two other caregivers as part of a 24/7 care team.
- Accompany the client during domestic and international travel.
- Support with mobility, transportation, and accessibility needs.
- Maintain a caring and supportive environment.
Requirements
- Fluent in English.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Compassionate, attentive, and patient demeanor.
- Must have a valid passport and be travel-ready.
- Prior caregiving experience, especially with mobility assistance or neurodegenerative conditions, is highly preferred.
- Flexible schedule: 1-2 weeks on, followed by 1-2 weeks off.
Compensation
- Weekly Pay: $5,878.63 based on the following structure:
- Paid for 133 hours per week.
- 40 hours at $32.75/hour.
- 93 overtime hours at $49.13/hour.
- Up to 8 hours daily for meal/sleep/rest, of which 5 hours are unpaid, and 3 hours are paid.
- Holiday Pay Bonus: $840 for working on major holidays (New Year’s, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
- Paid travel time (from airport to destination and return).
