Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM- 4:30 PM, Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM. 40 hours/week guaranteed; ability to work up to 45 hours/week, as needed.
About the Family:
A warm and welcoming family in Aldie, VA is seeking a full-time nanny to provide attentive, nurturing care for their 8-month-old son. Their son is a sweet, happy, and social baby who loves to babble and engage with others. He is starting solids and is breastfed, with a cow’s milk allergy that requires careful attention. The family also has three older daughters (ages 8, 7, and 3.5), all enrolled in full-time school and aftercare. The nanny's primary focus will be caring for the baby, although the family plans to revisit a broader family assistant or sibling support role in summer 2026 with updated responsibilities and compensation. Additionally, the family has a weekly housekeeper, and mom works from home in a private office on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and loving care for the infant throughout the day
- Support a consistent nap schedule with crib-based sleep
- Prepare age-appropriate meals/snacks for the baby
- Light housekeeping related to the children (tidying play areas, washing bottles/dishes, children’s laundry)
- Assist with simple dinner prep for the family
Ideal Candidate:
- Calm & nurturing, and brings a peaceful, grounding presence to the home
- Prior experience with infants and toddlers, with strong references
- Genuinely passionate about early childhood development and respectful caregiving
- Familiar with Montessori principles or eager to learn, and values a child-led approach
- Comfortable advocating for themselves while working collaboratively with parents
- Seeking a long-term role (3 years) with a family they can grow alongside
