Job Description: Experienced Housekeeper – Nassau County, NY

Location: Manhasset, Nassau County, NY (with summer work in Westhampton Beach)
Position Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, occasional weekends)
Salary: $30–$35 per hour

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our household. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing high-quality housekeeping services and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and comfortable home environment.

This position requires a valid driver's license, as responsibilities include running errands and transporting pets, but not family members.

Responsibilities

• General Housekeeping: Perform daily and deep cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Laundry and Ironing: Handle all laundry needs, including washing, folding, ironing, and organizing clothes and linens.
• Organization: Keep all rooms tidy and clutter-free, maintaining order in closets, cabinets, and storage spaces.
• Meal Assistance: Provide light meal preparation support, such as chopping vegetables, setting the table, or preparing simple dishes.
• Errands: Run occasional errands, such as grocery shopping and picking up household supplies.
• Pet Care: Transport pets to the vet or groomer as needed.
• Seasonal Work: Travel to Westhampton Beach during the summer to assist when the live-in housekeeper is off duty.
• Communication: Maintain open and respectful communication with the family to address specific requests or changes in routine.
• Privacy and Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality regarding household matters.

Requirements

• Experience: Demonstrated experience as a housekeeper in private residences with a history of reliable, high-quality service.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to cleaning and organizing, ensuring no detail is overlooked.
• Flexibility: Adaptability to varying schedules, including occasional weekend work and overtime as needed.
• Trustworthiness: Strong sense of integrity and discretion, with a commitment to maintaining the family’s privacy.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and lift heavy objects as required.
• Communication Skills: Clear and respectful verbal communication, with the ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend days (e.g., Sunday rotations shared among the team).

Compensation

• $30–$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
