What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Nanny position at Household Staffing?
A loving private family is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable nanny for our 4-month-old baby girl. As first-time parents, we need someone who can support us through this transition with patience, expertise, and adaptability. Family is located in the Upper East Side, NYC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Newborn-to-Infant Transition: Help guide our baby’s development as she moves past the newborn stage.
- Developmental Play: Engage in age-appropriate, stimulating activities while maintaining a calming presence when needed.
- Milestones & Infant Health: Must have strong knowledge of infant development, physical stages, and health-related concerns. A background in newborn care or a relevant certification is a big plus.
- Attentiveness & Observation: Notice small changes, from tiny rashes to shifts in behavior, and keep us informed.
- Routine & Structure: Assist in creating a consistent daily schedule as our baby adjusts to her new formula and feeds more regularly.
- Feeding Support: Experience with fussy feeders and strategies to encourage smooth and successful mealtimes.
- Daily Care: Maintain hygiene, including sterilizing bottles, baby laundry, and sanitizing toys.
- Future Outings: Plan age-appropriate outings and walks as our baby grows.
Schedule:
- Full-Time: ~50 hours per week
- Days: 5 days/week, 10 hours/day (M-F)
Additional Considerations:
- Occasional domestic and international travel (not mandatory)
- Calm yet energetic enough to keep up with a strong, growing baby
Compensation:
- $35–$45 per hour, based on experience
