Position: Live In Companion /Driver/ Light Housekeeper for educated, active widowed woman (79 years old) who appreciates the arts, museums, sports, politics, etc. and wants to enjoy her life with dignity. Assistance helping with walking using a walker and a cane at times, and able to help minimize the Principals anxiety specifically in the morning.
Location: Morristown, NJ, 3 bedroom townhome
What Works Best for Family: Someone who is patient, friendly / conversational, ability to work independently and anticipate needs. Good communication skills. Someone comfortable helping with anxiety at times.
Requested Duration: Indefinitely
Position Responsibilities
- Driving: YES, Required
- Assistance with helping with walking when needed, a walker and a cane
- Comfortable with personal hygiene assistance but not required as it’s not needed at the moment
- Medication management assistance
- Housekeeping: Yes, Light cleaning / tidying is required, ability to do deep housekeeping is a Plus!
- Laundry: Yes
- Cooking: Yes, Simple Meal prep, cooking basic meal
- Errands: Assist with daily errands, grocery shopping, rides to / from appointments or activities.2/3 times a wk Grocery Shopping
- Ability to troubleshoot simple phone or computer issues and light administrative support (bills / banking)
Position Requirements
- Work Hours: Available 24/7, with 2 days off per month, and or fllexible to accommodate
- Languages: English
- Experience: Years of Experience, Someone comfortable helping with anxiety and bipolar or excitable behavior
- Current Certifications, CNA, CPR
- References: Minimum of 2 References
- Background checks upon contingent offer of hire
- Must Currently Live near the residence and have a residence to return to.
Position Compensation
- Salary: $2,000.-$2,500. weekly DOE
