Private family looking hire a Housekeeper in Locust Valley, NY!
The Ideal Candidate: They are seeking a reliable and meticulous Housekeeper to join their household team. Their primary residence is in Manhattan, and they spend weekends and summers at their Long Island property, the housekeeper will help maintain their Locust Valley property with occasional travel to the other properties. Working under the direction of the Head Housekeeper, the Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the interior of their 15,000 sq. ft. home, including cleaning, dusting, sweeping, and vacuuming. The position will also involve assisting with laundry duties, though excellent laundry skills are a plus but not required. Additionally, the Housekeeper will help with inventory management, ensuring that supplies are well-stocked and organized. While experience in serving food and drinks is preferred, it is not required, though there may be occasional opportunities to assist with food and beverage service. There will also be periodic travel to other properties to help with setup and ensure everything is in proper order. The ideal candidate will have prior housekeeping experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work discreetly and professionally within a private household. Flexibility with tasks and schedules, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team, is essential.

What Works Best for Family: Previous experience as a UHNW housekeeper is preferred. Dedicated, hardworking and able to follow direction from Head Housekeeper that has been working with the family for years. Excellent time management skills, Extensive knowledge of high-end cleaning techniques, including the care of valuable items and fabrics. High level of attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a team and independently. Discretion and a strong commitment to maintaining the privacy and security of the household. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must love dogs as the family has 3 large and friendly dogs. Someone who is Proactive will do well in this role.
