Private family living in the heart of Georgetown, Washington, D.C., seeking a responsible and dedicated Live-In Housekeeper to become a valued member of our household team. Family consists of two children, aged 12 and 10, along with an energetic English Labrador retriever. They require assistance primarily with driving the children to and from school, extracurricular activities, and helping manage their busy household. The ideal candidate will have a passion for maintaining a clean and organized home, be proficient in housekeeping duties, and capable of preparing simple meals.
Responsibilities:

Driving: Safely transport our children to and from school and various activities, ensuring their timely arrivals and departures.

Housekeeping: Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including but not limited to cleaning, tidying, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining a clean living environment.

Laundry: Manage and oversee laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens.

Cooking: Prepare nutritious meals for the family, following provided recipes or instructions. Basic cooking skills are required.

Pet Care: Care for our English Labrador retriever, including feeding, walking, and ensuring a safe and clean living space for the pet.

Assist with Morning Routine: Help get the children ready for school in the morning, which may include preparing breakfast and ensuring they are properly dressed and organized.

Monitor Children: While the children are capable of being alone for extended periods, be available to assist if needed and ensure their safety.

Evening Presence: Be present in the house on Friday and/or Saturday evenings to provide support and supervision as needed, though the children are self-sufficient for dinner.

Additional Tasks: Assist with other household tasks as requested by the family.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar live-in housekeeping or nanny role.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly home.
- Basic cooking skills.
- Comfortable with dogs and willing to care for our English Labrador retriever.
- Must be a non-smoker.
Accommodations:
We offer a comfortable, private English basement with a kitchenette and a bathroom as living quarters. The space has both an outside and inside entrance for your convenience.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: Morning assistance starting around 7 am and driving responsibilities from 2 pm to 7 pm.
- Additional tasks during the day as needed.
- Occasional Friday and/or Saturday night presence in the house.
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience, $1200/week
