Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to provide procurement and administrative support for TGHA programs. The incumbent assists with the procurement and insurance related processes.
All activities must support The Greenville Housing Authority’s (“TGHA” or “Authority”) mission, strategic goals, and objectives and meet HUD and or State of South Carolina requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The position duties and responsibilities listed below describe the general nature and scope of work. Other responsibilities, duties, and skills may be required and assigned, as needed.
- Assists with administration of the Authority’s procurement process. Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and coordinate the review of Sealed Bids in accordance with HUD and State of S.C. requirements for TGHA, it’s nonprofit and affiliates.
- Conducts outreach to ensure that adequate numbers of responders receive information regarding solicitations.
- Assists in scoring submissions, notifying proposers, and preparation of resolutions and other documentation relating to procurement.
- Updates insurance spreadsheet at least annually. Seeks policies as new properties or assets are added to the portfolio.
- Reviews existing contracts to identify needs to update or procure
- Performs data entry, and other administrative duties.
- Completes other related duties as assigned.

Job Competencies
Education and / or Experience
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing procurement and administrative support. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Some positions may require possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to be insurable under the Authority’s automobile insurance plan at the standard rate.
Technical Skills
To perform this job successfully, the employee should have strong computer skills (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Must have the ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks.
