ESSENTIAL SKILLS & FUNCTIONS:
This position’s duties include a wide range of activities related to determining and documenting participant eligibility, income, rent and contractual relationships with owners in support of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) operations using written administrative policies and procedures.
The position requires full accountability for assigned cases including accurate and complete files, resolution of customer service cases, and responsiveness to participant and landlord inquires. The desired candidate must have clerical aptitude, good judgment, tact, and courtesy, with a high attention to detail; ability to plan, organize, develop, and schedule the workload assigned, and have knowledge of computers and the ability to learn and adapt to various software applications.
Employee will be responsible for compliance with all applicable safety and risk management policies and procedures of the Housing Authority.
Employee must be willing to travel for training purposes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but are not limited to the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
1. Develop and maintain open line of communication with landlords and residents as needed with excellent customer service.
2. Implement policy throughout job duties and responsibilities.
3. Manage an assigned caseload of HCV participants.
4. Adhere to leasing schedule requirements, reexamination requirements and program requirements, including but not limited to, scheduling appointments, ensuring accurate verification procedures are being followed, processing paperwork, etc.
5. Complete annual and interim reexaminations within policy driven timelines.
6. Monitor income reports to ensure accuracy of tenant files.
7. Properly apply allowances and deductions to accurately calculate tenant rent portions.
8. Maintain files in an orderly manner.
9. Brief clients as to program requirements, when necessary.
10. Answer public inquiries regarding program requirements.
11. Determine program compliance.
12. Handle program terminations.
13. Be responsible for the accuracy and processing of contracts and lease agreements.
14. Process request for tenancy and portability.
15. Run monthly reports and process as necessary.
16. Implement and monitor repayment agreements when necessary.
17. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Housing Operations and the Executive Director.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Modern office practices and procedures, business correspondence, proper English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
