Accountant
- Housing Authority of the City of Frederick is a non-profit private corporation created to address the need for low-income housing. We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our Economic Development team in Frederick, MD.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or a four-year college with an A rating from the A Rating Board (preferred)
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
- Experience with Google Suite (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records for the Economic Development department.
- Prepare and file applicable tax returns for all Economic Development entities.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for existing development entities and projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to funds managed by the Economic Development department.
- Provide financial oversight and input for existing LIHTC development operating budgets.
- Facilitate required audits for existing development entities.
