Job Information
Position starting pay: $26.47/hour. The initial review of applications will begin starting the week of March 24, 2025. Applications received before the initial review date will be considered, with qualifying applicants being eligible to participate in the phone screen process.

Position Summary
Under direct supervision assists higher level accountants and managers by preparing and participating in technical accounting work in the public housing program, Section 8 housing programs, and non-subsidized housing programs; prepares various accounting, statistical and narrative reports.

1. Prepares or assists in the preparation of a variety of detailed accounting, statistical and/or narrative financial statements or reports requiring analysis, interpretation, and a thorough understanding of the account structure and the relationship of data contained in the reports.
2. Reviews, evaluates and assists in the preparation and maintenance of the budget and internal controls.
3. Provides support by reviewing the classification and distribution of income and expenditures to proper accounts; reconciles general ledgers, bank statements, logs and other fiscal records related to complex entries, payments and collections.
4. Assists in conducting revenue analysis and other accounting studies, and participates in writing reports.
5. Tracks, reports and reimburses routine federal or state grants.
BA degree preferred with major course work in accounting, business administration, finance, public administration or a related field.
One (1) year of increasing responsible experience performing higher level accounting duties, analysis and records management. Public agency accounting experience preferred. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
