What are the responsibilities and job description for the EnrichEd Support Staff position at Housing Families Inc?
Role Purpose: EnrichEd is a therapeutic youth program that runs year round and supports currently and formerly homeless youth and their families. During the school year, the program runs an after school program (3p-7p). During school breaks and summer, the program shifts to a camp style program during the day (10a-2p).
The EnrichEd Support Staffs primary responsibility will be to provide transportation for clients to and from program activities. In this role, the staff will work across the organization reporting to the EnrichEd Program Manager. Their secondary responsibility will be to assist in planning, preparing, and facilitating programming.
Responsibilities:
- Provide transportation for youth aged 3-18 who attend the EnrichEd After School Program. The staff will be responsible for following the transportation schedule provided by the Program Manager which will include picking up and dropping off youth at school/home/etc.
- Ensure van rules are being communicated and followed by van passengers.
- Communicate with the Program Manager to alert staff of issues, children who do not show, and to estimate arrival time at program facilities.
- Completes thorough before-and-after trip checks each day and record all information. Clean out van each day.
- Support in the planning, organizing, and facilitation of program activites including groups, tutoring, childcare, field trips, etc.
- Provide supportive interventions for difficult interactions between clients in order to maintain a safe environment for all.
- Communicate regularly with caregivers, staff, and community partners when necessary.
- Handle crises as they occur.
- Attend supervision with the EnrichEd Program Manager.
- Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
Must have experience working with children. Applicants who are bilingual and have experience working with families from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, youth development and social emotional learning is a plus!
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to form strong interpersonal relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) background check
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time walking up and down flights of stairs
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk while working on a computer

- Compensation/Hours: $22/ hour. Non-exempt, full-time (approx. 11am-7pm)
