The Residential Events Coordinator is responsible for organizing and hosting engaging events for residents at our properties. This role includes coordinating Fresh Market events and social events at each property. The Fresh Market events involve ordering, picking up and distributing fresh groceries, while the social events focus on creating a positive, educational, or creative experience for residents. Additionally, the Residential Events Coordinator will create monthly event calendars for each property and design flyers for the case managers to distribute. This role is key to fostering community engagement and supporting residents through these events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fresh Market Events:
- Host Fresh Market events at each property
- Manage grocery orders
- Pick up groceries and deliver them to the designated property.
- Distribute groceries to residents, ensuring a smooth, organized event.
- Social Events:
- Host social events per month at each property
- Develop creative, engaging event ideas such as crafting projects, educational activities, or wellness sessions that will appeal to residents.
- Lead and facilitate each event, ensuring that residents follow along with instructions and participate fully.
- Track attendance and ensure that all participants sign-in for events.
- Event Coordination:
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of the events, including ordering materials and supplies, setting up the event space, and ensuring timely execution.
- Ensure events are run smoothly and residents have a positive experience.
- Collaborate with other team members, such as case managers and property staff, to ensure events align with the goals of HSSA.
· Monthly Calendars and Flyers:
- Create monthly event calendars for each property in a timely manner, ensuring all events and activities are clearly listed and easily accessible to residents.
- Design and prepare flyers for case managers to print and post at each property, promoting upcoming events and encouraging resident participation.
· Photography & Media:
o Take pictures at events to document participation and engagement.
o Offer residents the opportunity to sign the "Media Waiver" form to allow the use of their images for promotional purposes.
· Community Engagement:
o Foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere at events to encourage community building among residents.
o Maintain professional relationships with residents, helping to create an environment that feels supportive and engaging.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in event coordination, community engagement, or social services is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, detailed oriented, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and events simultaneously.
- Comfortable with technology, including ordering groceries online, and using basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, email).
- Ability to lead and engage with diverse groups of residents, creating a welcoming environment for all.
- Strong communication skills and ability to give clear instructions.
- Experience with graphic design or familiarity with basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Microsoft Publisher) is a plus for creating event calendars and flyers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have reliable transportation to pick up groceries and travel between properties.
