THREE-YEAR-OLD PRESCHOOL TEACHER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Houston Academy is a premier independent, college preparatory school located in Dothan, AL.
Houston Academy is searching for a teacher for a three-year-old preschool program. The hours
are from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal applicant will possess the following:
- A degree in Early Childhood Education, experience preferred;
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in preschool
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to implement play-based learning, hands-on activities, and creative teaching
- A passion for working with young children and fostering a love of learning in a nurturing
environment.
- Provide and execute a developmentally appropriate curriculum for 3-year-old students
- Implement a consistent discipline plan in a positive atmosphere;
- Create a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment where children feel loved,
- Promote the development of social and emotional skills, encouraging positive peer
- Design and implement play-based learning experiences that integrate early literacy,
- Foster a sense of curiosity and exploration through hands-on activities, group play, and
- Utilize best practices in early childhood education to meet the developmental needs of
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school
- Uphold and promote the values, mission, and philosophy of Houston Academy; and
- Participate in campus and community events.
INFORMATION
Salary will be commensurate with degree level and teaching experience.
