Title: Professional Development Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Professional Development
Job Description:
The Houston Association of REALTORS, Inc. is seeking a professional person to provide administrative support for the Professional Development Department. This full-time position will require someone who is great at handling multiple tasks, has initiative, requires little supervision, and pays close attention to detail. Good communication skills and a personable attitude are a must. A general understanding of associations or real estate is beneficial to this position, but not mandatory for application. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
Required Skills:
- Professional Appearance and Attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and Outlook
- Familiarity with Canva or other similar design software
- Familiarity with Salesforce
- Strong Written and Verbal Skills
- Dependable (able to work Monday thru Friday 8am – 5pm and 1-2 Saturdays per month from 8am -1pm.) Occasionally earlier days or later evening (6-9pm for proctoring) are required but will be planned in advance. This is a hybrid position.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Regular Communication and Customer Service for Association Members
- Ability to learn and support video conference programs
- Data Entry and Database Maintenance
- Class preparations and dismantling for in person classes when needed
- Track membership participation and follow proper license renewal policies
- General administrative support for department Director (making copies, folders, mailing, etc.)
- Support Service for the Client Experience Rating System
- Have a strong understanding of current course offerings and their content
- Regularly proctor virtual classes
- Attend related advisory group meetings or other relevant classes/programs
- Additional responsibilities as needed
- This role will be carried out in a hybrid format, combining remote work with regular in-person or office-based responsibilities.
- Instruct (as back-up) for new member orientation if needed.
