The Fayetteville Woodpeckers are seeking a Host / In-Game Emcee for the 2025 season. This position will be a part of the entertainment team and will announce all sponsored elements and on-field contests during Woodpeckers home games. An ideal candidate would have experience talking in front of large crowds and an energetic and outgoing personality. This is a part-time, seasonal position for the 2025 season.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Announce sponsored elements and on-field contests during home games
- Interact with fans in a personable and family-friendly manner, creating a welcoming and fun atmosphere throughout the game.
- Work closely with the entertainment team to execute game-day entertainment scripts and creatively adapt to live-game conditions when applicable
- Be actively involved in all on-field entertainment, from leading interactive fan games and relaying announcements to welcoming the crowd to participate along
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Be actively involved in all on-field entertainment, from leading interactive fan games and relaying announcements to welcoming the crowd to participate along
- Exhibit engagement energy that resonates with fans of all ages
- Adapt to the dynamic nature of live promotions and stressful situations
- Participate in pre-game Game Operations Production Meetings
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to talk in front of large crowds
- Must have the ability to interact with guests and all levels of management in the organization
- Must be able to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Must be a self-starter, problem solver and have decision-making ability
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays

- Must be willing and able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
Work Environment
Majority of time will be spent outdoors. Job may require employee to function in a in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue/environment. Employee may also be exposed to weather of varying degrees for extended periods of time while performing the duties of this job.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a Part-Time position, and hours of work and days are dependent on the game day schedule. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including; extended hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.
