Summary:
The EVS OPS Manager oversees and manages the production of live sporting events. A successful candidate has advanced knowledge of all components of taped and live event production and is an experienced leader with a proven track record of delivering quality results in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment. The individual will be especially adept at working well under pressure and offer quick and accurate solutions to critical issues in a live broadcast environment. This position reports to the Executive Producer and is based in Houston, Texas.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

- Works on transmission requirements for all live events and assists with coordination on game days
- Assists and works with Engineering and Production teams to determine venue specific needs
- Helping EP as the liaison between remote production staff and visitor feeds
- Worked with remote production teams to revise Network show books
- Coordinating events and production books for all home and away games
- Liaison between the leagues and Network for all operations
- Works with Engineering and Production to maintain all equipment (Camera, Light kits, Audio)
- Edit and playback highlights for cloud productions
- Ability to Record, Edit, and Playback with an 8 channel EVS XT(3)
- Editing highlights, and turnaround sound bites, using EVS Clips & Playlists
- Storage and transfer of files using EVS xfile program
- Searching and logging video clips
- Perform routing with Evertz HD router
- Responsible for transfers, digitizing or any other video ingest support for live shows
- Interface with engineering department regarding equipment maintenance issues
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 8 years of live sports television production experience with at least 2 years of hands-on work experience in a remote production setting
- Bachelor’s degree in television, film production or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with all components of live event production i.e., editing, live action shoots, music usage, broadcast graphics, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment with multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrated command of project management, the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects/initiatives in a deadline-driven environment
- The ability to think analytically, develop solutions for process improvement, and provide recommendations to leadership
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively and independently at various levels of the company. Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and produce creative, quality product in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel and work highly varied and flexible hours in support of live sporting events (i.e., nights, weekends and holidays)
- Passionate knowledge of regional sports teams and experience working in sports television is strongly preferred.
Work Environment
Position will work in an office and stadium environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to work in all types of outdoor weather conditions and within a stadium environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Travel
Moderate travel may be expected for this position.
