What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Administrative Assistant position at Houston City Personnel?
MUST BE IN HOUSTON TX - ONSITE FULL-TIME JOB!
Assistant to Legal Department, busy administrative projects as listed :
- Managing all legal billing and external invoices
- Submitting expense reimbursements
- Taking weekly team meeting notes
- Handling all incoming / outgoing mail
- Large scan / copy jobs
- Intake and tracking of litigation and bankruptcy matters
- Intake of form non-disclosure agreements
- Tracking / updating requirements, licenses, etc..
- Coordinating miscellaneous document signing
A strong performer can also be trained to work on drafting and coordinating basic legal documents and conduct research. This is definitely a career-growth position.
Candidate Intangibles : Degree always preferred and appreciated. Upbeat, smart and organized, diligent, organized, meets deadlines, excellent spelling & grammar, proofs own work, team player, self-starter, can work under pressure in a busy legal department.
Software : Strong MS Office required. SharePoint a plus for accounting / invoices projects.
Must Have” Exp :
E xperienced legal assistants 1-2 years c ontracts / corporate or real estate legal would be great—OR WILL TRAIN SMART IMPRESSIVE RECENT GRAD with internships, admin during college.
