Job Summary
The Senior Lab Assistant oversees and maintains the daily procedures in a multi-function student lab.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Tutor students in research techniques within assigned area.
- Set up programs or experiments in the Learning Centers for faculty and students.
- Monitor daily, weekly and monthly backups.
- Provide assistance to students during registration periods via the Lab.
- Maintain inventories of supplies, equipment and lab materials at each campus Learning Center. Monitor stocked equipment and inventory for proper storage.
- Secure all exams, computers, lab materials and audio / visual aids.
- Assist Supervisor with orientations and in the collection of data for studies, surveys and reports.
- Provide input on new software, hardware, and supplies for the Centers.
- Log all current and potential hardware, software, and equipment problems, and install hardware and software upgrades.
- Create computerized databases.
- Conduct demonstrations to students and instructors on use of computers, equipment and web learning with emphasis on ADA equipment.
- Properly dispose of outdated materials; may be required to prepare disposal forms.
- Keep lab free of food and drink.
- Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

Working Conditions
General office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
