Position Purpose
The Director of Facilities & Plant Operations (DOF) will be responsible for the Safety, Security, and Maintenance of the facility on a day-to-day basis. The DOF must ensure a safe patient care environment at HCCH, by managing risks associated with the operation and maintenance of the facility systems and equipment. The DOF must ensure adequate processes for operation & maintenance, and training, designed to assure safe and effective performance of facility systems.
Position Qualifications
Education:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Desirable characteristics include at least 5 years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment.

Working Conditions
- Working hours include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A proficiency in written or verbal communications and possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public.
- Must be able to give directions and instructions to Plant Operation and Environmental Services staff and have work performed according to department standards.
- Must be able to function effectively under stressful conditions. Strong electrical experience required.
- Manage all day-to-day maintenance operations.
- Maintain a safety and security program for HCCH staff, patients, and visitors.
- Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical or employment status of patients of Henderson County Community Hospital and their families.
- Must be knowledgeable of facility equipment, systems, and procedures.
- Must be able to develop a working relationship with medical staff and hospital employees.
- Must instruct and supervise safety instructional programs.
