PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Special Events Sales Manager assists with generating event revenue for non-soccer events through proactive sales, develops new external event clients, maintains strong relationships with current event clients, and executes world-class events for Houston Dynamo Football Club. Responsible for booking events for all locations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the event process from execution to settlement, including full stadium ticketed events, special events, and club events hosted at headquarters, Shell Stadium, and Houston Sports Park.
- Assist with generating event leads and revenue using all sales methods, including face-to-face meetings, site visits, networking, follow-up, and upselling opportunities.
- Create and send proposals to clients as needed.
- Meet or exceed weekly touchpoints and sales goals established by the Sr. Director.
- Assist with creating an annual events calendar that itemizes work plans and ensures precise and timely communication of deadlines to all relevant stakeholders - internal and external.
- Collaborate with the revenue, event services, and marketing team to promote events and ensure seamless transition of all events and programs.
- Assist with sales and retention efforts, including servicing and up-selling unique offerings, programs, and experiences. Manage and lead tracking processes for all incoming calls, emails, and website inquiries.
- Establish and maintain client relationships by making outbound calls to past and prospective clients.
- Keep client database up to date with accurate information.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sports live event production; experience in soccer is a plus. Solid understanding of the production industry, control room equipment, and programs used to produce a live show.
- Bachelor's Degree – Highly Desired
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays as required.
