Job Description
What you’ll do as a Municipal (Civil) Engineer will include completing designs using CADD modeling software, preparing spreadsheets and construction plans and specifications, completing site development designs, as well as performing construction cost estimating, construction observation, and facility inspection for a variety of civil engineering projects.
- Digital design of stormwater, sanitary, and water utilities, along with street and site plan development.
- Prepare studies, reports, design documents, and design plans and specifications for civil and municipal water infrastructure projects.
- Complete engineering analysis and calculations.
- Observe and document construction projects.
- Coordinate planning, design, and construction with clients, sub-consultants, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering, Bioproducts and Biosystem Engineering, or related Engineering field.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit.
- Aspirations to obtain PE licensure.
- Must be detail orientated, and self-motivated.
- Valid driver's license required with good driving record.
- Utilize effective written and oral communication skills to coordinate and collaborate with coworkers, contractors, and the community.
