Description:We are seeking a Teller Supervisor to direct and schedule resources needed to ensure members receive friendly, accurate and timely assistance with their transactions involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. The successful candidate will be responsible for all functions related to the cash operations of the branch.

Description:We are seeking a Teller Supervisor to direct and schedule resources needed to ensure members receive friendly, accurate and timely assistance with their transactions involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. The successful candidate will be responsible for all functions related to the cash operations of the branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receives and processes member and guest financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; sells money orders, and gift cards, to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed. Balances cash drawer daily.
- Trains, schedules, directs, and monitors the work of other tellers. Coordinates teller activities. Assists the Branch Manager in the preparation and delivery of performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel actions.
- Acts as the member's advocate in offering credit union products and services.
- Monitors department activities for compliance with established procedures, policy and regulations. Takes action to resolve any out of compliance issues.
- Welcome members and provide routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
- Acts as Vault Teller coordinating currency supplies for the branch and other tellers.
- Performs monthly cash counts as well as any surprise cash counts requested.
- Ensures that gift cards and any other type of product which is similar are balanced and reports are prepared monthly.
- To ensure the department is providing informed, professional, personal service to all members.
- To ensure that tellers balance daily in accordance with HFCU Teller Standards and provide assistance to resolve discrepancies in balancing cash drawers. To prepare and deliver oral and written warnings as required by Teller Balancing Standards.
- To keep management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the department.
- To proactively promote an advocacy culture within the department, both by example and by training of employees to identify opportunities.
- To troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
- To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
- To complete performance reviews within the prescribed time frames.
- To note observations of employee performance into appropriate reporting tool, as well as give to and receive feedback from employee on the same no later than 15 working days following each quarter
- Is responsible for compliance with all procedures and required regulations and policies, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations.
- To ensure that all reports required for the department are accurate and are prepared by due date.
- Two years of similar or related experience
- A high school education or GED
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
- Must have good communication skills for training other tellers. 10-key calculator and computer keyboard skills. Accurate with numbers and names.
