What will I bedoing?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Systems Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will focus on systems administration, maintenance, and support of our IT infrastructure. This role involves performing computer systems analysis work, managing and maintaining hardware and software systems, and providing comprehensive end-user support. Additionally, the candidate will support the Local Information Security Officer (LISO) program for contractors serving Workforce Solutions (WFS) by processing user access requests and improving existing procedures within the LISO program.
End-User support :
üProvide support and resolution to end-users by analyzing and resolving technical issues.
üAssist in responding to general IT inquiries and support requests.
üTroubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
üAssist in deploying and configuring IT equipment for end-users.
üPerform other IT related tasks as needed.
System Analysis and Administration :
üPerform computer systems analysis work involving systems administration, maintenance, and support.
üInstall, configure, and repair software applications, networking devices, and services.
üCoordinate, plan, and schedule the installation or training for new or revised systems.
üDefine business process requirements and ensure systems meet these needs.
üResearch new and upcoming technologies that may benefit operations and enhance the user experience.
User Access Management :
üProcess and manage user access requests in collaboration with LISO officers and stakeholders.
üAccurately and timely enter and update user access data in the Texas Workforce Commission and Workforce Solutions systems and other third-party entities.
üHandle the full account lifecycle : account creations, terminations, and access modifications.
üMaintain detailed records of all access requests and actions taken.
Compliance and Security :
üEnsure adherence to information security protocols and confidentiality agreements.
üAssist in auditing user access to ensure compliance with security policies.
üStay updated on policies and procedures related to user access and security.
üStay updated on policies and procedures related to user access and security.
Communication and Collaboration :
üServe as a point of contact between LISO officers and internal teams.
üProvide clear and timely communication regarding the status of access requests.
üCollaborate with team members to ensure efficient processing of all requests.
üPrepare reports for management and present information.
Procedure Assessment and Improvement :
üEvaluate existing procedures within the LISO program to identify areas for enhancement.
üPropose and implement improvements to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
üCollaborate with team members and stakeholders to develop best practices.
üDocument and communicate updated procedures to relevant parties.
KeyQualifications :
üStrong understanding of information security principles and practices.
üExcellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
üStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.
üEffective communication skills, both written and verbal.
üAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
üUnderstanding account creation using power shell commands.
üFamiliarity with Workforce's Local Information Security Officer (LISO) program is desirable.
Do you have :
üBachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline orrelatedfield of study.
üAt least 1year of experienceworking with local government, nonprofit programs, school or in job related duties
Preferred qualifications :
üDegree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
ü2 years in a user access management or information security role.
