10a-10pProvides professional nursing care under supervision for assigned patients according to established standards and practice. Participates as a team member of the clinical interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate resources to all internal/external customers. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision, values, and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare.
Graduate from an accredited Practical School of Nursing.
Residency or Fellowship programs may apply depending on department
and experience.
Current US state LPN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA.
Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA/ARC PALS, AHA ACLS/
ARC ALS certification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire. Completion of
the Rhythm Interpretation Course CLEP test or classroom course or obtained
within 3 months. CPT training within 9 months of hire. Must complete and
maintain required stroke education/training as mandated in the “HHC Primary
Stroke Center / Acute Stroke Ready Designation” policy.
Must be able to utilize standard office equipment. Must be able to utilize
diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment. Must be able to utilize
personal protective equipment such as gloves, gown, mask, etc.
Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
