JOB SUMMARY
This Postsecondary Programming Coordinator 1 operates efficient and effective systems for the District's AP,
PreAP and IB programs. The role works closely with a team of Coordinators 1, representatives from College
Board and IB, as well as CCMR directors. Relevant activities include implementing program compliance
systems, delivering district-wide trainings, and monitoring the effectiveness of AP, IB, and PreAP programs as
they relate to student outcomes.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid campuses in delivering high quality and rigorous advanced programming.
- Assists with the acquisition and distribution of course materials to campuses across the district.
- Participates in the delivery of initiatives and events that provide students with supplemental instruction and intervention for AP and IB course content.

WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years working in the district / central office of a large urban school district
combination of education and work experiences that indicate potential for success in this role.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Accomplishes the majority of work objectives through the management of direct reports. Provides day-to-day
direction to staff; may become directly involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems.
Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring application of policies
and procedures. Receives assignments in the form of objectives, with goals and the process by which to
meet goals. Provides input to hiring, performance and budget.
WORK COMPLEXITY / INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT
Work is substantially complex, varied and regularly requires the selection and application of technical and
detailed guidelines. Independent judgment is required to identify, select, and apply the most appropriate
