Responsibilities

- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance.
- Collaborate with special education staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring additional support.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Provide mentorship and support to students, fostering their social and emotional development.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices, including Montessori methods and early intervention strategies.
Skills
- Strong background in Childcare and Childhood Development principles.
- Experience working with children on the autism spectrum and understanding their unique needs.
- Knowledge of Montessori educational approaches is a plus.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education requirements.
- Proficient in mentoring techniques that promote student growth and self-confidence.
- Ability to implement effective behavior management strategies within the classroom setting.
- Experience in tutoring or providing individualized instruction tailored to student needs.
