What are the responsibilities and job description for the Studio Intern position at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo?
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo offer internships to students currently enrolled in production/broadcast studies at:
- Alvin Community College
- University of Houston
- Texas Southern University
Students attending these schools must receive authorization from the Internship Program Director in order to apply for this position.
Students will provide operation services for ongoing livestock and horse show events in NRG Center and NRG Arena. Students may also provide audio assistance/grip services for staff and professional crews contracted with HLSR.
Interns will fill typical broadcast control room roles such as Director and Associate Director services. Interns will get opportunities to shadow and observe various studio crew positions.
