MarriottHouston North is a recently renovated property locatedin the Houston City North Area, with 390 rooms and 20 meeting spaces (15,990SQ Ft)to amaze our guests. We arelooking for Top Candidates like Youto bring our property aliveby delivering exceptional service.
Overview:
The primary duties of the night auditor are to check front office, restaurant and bar accounting records for accuracy, post and balance charges and settlements in a timelyand efficient manner and compile information for the financial records. Assistguests with check-in & check-out processes, provide guests with hotel services information, and accommodate guests during their stay in an attentive, courteousand friendly manner.
Duties (not limited to):
- Run audit reports/journals.
- Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintainfiles and reset the system for next day operations.
- Ensure all necessary copies of documents/back-up and reports of daily work are distributed to the proper person (i.e.A/R, A/P, and Payroll).
- Review and correct discrepancies in the Front Desk System.
- Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system, confirming pertinent information including number of guests and room rate. Make appropriate selectionof rooms based on guest needs. Code electronic keys, certificates, and coupons as appropriate. Requires continual standing and movement throughout front office areas.
- Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods. Handle cash; make change and balance as assigned house bank. Accept and record vouchers, travelers checks, and other forms of payment. Perform accurate, moderately complex arithmetic functions using a calculator. Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using the computer.
Qualifications:
- At least 6 months of previousexperience as a Night Auditor.
- Knowledgeable in Marriott systems is highly desirable.
- Hospitality, orientation to detail, Computer, Complex Math Skills.
- Ability to effectively deal with guests and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
- Proactive, problem solver and decision-making, customer service skills.
- Ability to read, listens, and communicates effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
