Job Summary:
A Physical Therapist II (PT II) position at Houston Methodist is responsible for evaluating and developing therapy plans for various diagnoses and acuities. This experienced therapist provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers, collaborates with interprofessional team members, and delivers exceptional patient care while ensuring optimal safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop comprehensive therapy plans for a broad range of diagnoses and acuities.
- Collaborate with interprofessional team members to achieve identified patient-specific goals.
- Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and best practices.
- Monitor progress, modify treatment plans as necessary, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Two years of experience as a Physical Therapist or completion of HM or comparable Physical Therapy Residency program.
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Texas or compact license acceptable according to current ECPTOTE requirements within 90 days.
- Demonstrated expertise in assessing, treating, and educating patients across various populations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day
Location: Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, TX
Education and Experience: Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program and two years of experience as a Physical Therapist or completion of HM or comparable Physical Therapy Residency program
Certifications and Licenses: State licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Texas or compact license acceptable according to current ECPTOTE requirements within 90 days
