Job Description
The Senior Polysomnographic Technologist is an experienced professional who works under the supervision of a clinical/medical director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. The role involves advanced duties such as scoring sleep studies, preparing preliminary reports, and conducting sleep studies, including complex procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct sleep studies, including diagnostic and therapeutic services, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Score sleep studies according to established guidelines and prepare detailed reports for physician interpretation
- Coordinate various activities within the polysomnography department and assume other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s)
- Three years experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist in a Sleep Disorders laboratory/center
- Registered Polysomnographer Technologist (BRPT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist Sleep Disorder Specialty (NBRC) certification

- Competent computer knowledge and ability to operate multiple systems
