Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is looking for a General Surgeon to join our group at our Texas Medical Center campus. Candidates should be Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Candidates should also be Texas licensed, or in the process of obtaining one.
The surgical experts of the Houston Methodist Department of Surgery bring diverse expertise and experience to a collaborative care approach. Our team spans three centers of excellence — transplant, gastroenterology and cancer — and has national expertise in reconstructive, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, advancing surgical research and development. The esteemed faculty are passionate about educating the next generation of surgeons. The ideal candidate would cover acute care and emergency general surgery taking occasional ER call; work with residents and medical students; and help with growing an elective hernia and general surgery practice.
The Department of Surgery has top ranking in surgical safety and clinical outcomes, recognized by the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP) as among the top 10% in the nation for general and colorectal surgery outcomes.
