Houston Methodist Neal Cancer Center is looking for a Genitourinary (GU) Medical Oncologist at our Texas Medical Center campus. Applicants must be fellowship trained in Medical Oncology. Priority will be given to candidates with dedicated training in GU Medical Oncology. Candidates should be board certified (or board eligible) in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Texas medical license.
Houston Methodist Neal Cancer Center leverages a vast integrated healthcare network of 6 regional medical centers positioned throughout the greater Houston area. The ideal candidate will focus on clinical trials in interventional GU malignancies, with a specific focused on prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer. There is projected growth of these malignancies in catchment area HMH serves.
The selected candidate will be able to leverage an established clinical trial support unit to function as a clinician investigator within a collegial, multi-disciplinary group, consisting of GU focused urologists, pathologists and radiation oncologists. Additionally, multiple opportunities exist for collaboration with a robust and well-funded translational science team. The candidate should demonstrate academic productivity in the realm(s) of clinical research, cancer prevention, health services research and/or translational science. Training of post-graduate learners, including fellows in the Heme/ONC fellowship is a priority.
