Job Summary
The Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) is responsible for performing radiographic procedures while ensuring patient safety, quality imaging, and a positive patient experience. This role requires excellent communication and technical skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, referring physicians, and radiologists.
Key Responsibilities
โ Perform Radiographic (X-Ray) Procedures with accuracy, ensuringย optimal image quality and patient care.
โย Verify and follow physician orders (hardcopy/electronic) to ensure correct procedures are performed.
โย Educate and guide patients throughout the imaging process, answering questions and ensuring comfort.
โ Screen for pregnancy risks, ensure proper positioning, and followย ALARA radiation safety standards.
โ Accurately document procedures inย RIS and PACS, maintaining compliance with records and QC logs.
โย Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, using lead shielding and radiation monitoring badges.
โ Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate radiography equipment to ensureย optimal performance.
โย Manage medical supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained for efficient workflow.
โย Assist with administrative duties and support daily center operations as needed.
โย Participate in clinic opening/closing procedures, including alarm system activation/deactivation.
โ Work at least one Saturday per month, typically at our West location.
What You Bring
๐นย Current Texas LMRT Certification (Required)
๐นย Minimum 1 year of experience in a radiology setting preferred
๐นย Current CPR Certification (Required)
๐นย Proficiency with medical imaging software (PACS/RIS)
๐น Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety protocols
๐น Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
๐น Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
๐น Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
