Your Role

As a Paramedic I, you will be an essential part of the patient care experience, supporting both the CT and MRI departments while ensuring the highest level of patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care & Safety:

  • Monitor patients during procedures and administer medications for contrast reactions.
  • Welcome and escort patients, explain procedures, and answer questions.
  • Assist technologists with patient histories, screening, and positioning.

• Clinical Expertise:

  • Start IVs and manage power injectors for CT scans.
  • Perform contrast injections for MRI procedures.
  • Ensure proper screening for patients entering MRI rooms.

• Operational Support:

  • Maintain and track medical supplies, reporting any needs or approaching expiration dates.
  • Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Provide administrative support when needed.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience & Certification:

  • 2 years of experience as an EMT-Paramedic.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Active registration and licensure as required.

• Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and outpatient imaging procedures.
  • Proficiency in computer systems relevant to the role.
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish) is a plus!

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently.
• Lift/push/carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Dependable transportation and flexibility to travel if needed.
