Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Guest Service and Communication:
o Deliver service with care and attention, always prioritizing quality and the well-being of the Members.
o Greet members and their guests in a friendly and professional manner.
o Assist guests promptly and courteously with any request related to housekeeping services.
o Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure member needs are met.
- Supervision and Team Leadership:
o Lead, train, and motivate a team of housekeepers, ensuring efficient and effective cleaning operations.
o Assist the Housekeeping Manager in assigning daily tasks and room assignments.
o Monitor the performance of housekeeping staff and provide constructive feedback.
o Ensure team members adhere to established cleaning standards and procedures.
o Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Room and Facility Cleaning and Maintenance:
o Inspect rooms, cottages, and common areas to ensure they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
o Participate in the cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing amenities as needed.
o Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of common areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational facilities.
o Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and safely.
o Report any maintenance issues or damages to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Inventory and Supplies Management:
o Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
o Assist with ordering and receiving supplies as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
o Ensure proper storage and organization of all housekeeping supplies
- Quality Control and Standards:
o Conduct regular inspections of cleaned rooms and areas to ensure adherence to quality standards.
o Identify and address any deficiencies in cleaning or maintenance.
- Safety and Compliance:
o Follow safety protocols in compliance with safety procedures.
o Ensure the safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
o Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
- Any other duties, as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bilingual – Spanish//English necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that foster a friendly and collaborative atmosphere.
- A genuine desire to work as part of a team and contribute positively to our workplace culture.
- A commitment to providing exceptional service that makes a difference to our Membership.
- 2 years of experience as a housekeeper in a hotel, resort or similar environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
- You will be working in variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold).
- You may experience variable noise levels.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
- Standing, stooping, bending and twisting for most of the workday.
- Ability to operate a vehicle.
