Your role is crucial in elevating our bar experience, creating innovative cocktails, and leading our bartending team. The Lead Mixologist/Bartender will be responsible for crafting unique and memorable beverages, maintaining high service standards, and fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere, all aimed at fostering connections and ensuring our team thrives together in a spirit of collaboration and shared purpose.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver service with care and attention, always prioritizing quality and the well-being of the Members.
- Cocktail Creation & Innovation:
- Develop and implement innovative cocktail menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and modern mixology techniques.
- Create signature cocktails that reflect the club's brand and enhance the guest experience.
- Stay abreast of current trends and emerging techniques in the beverage industry.
- Conduct ongoing research and experimentation to refine and improve cocktail recipes.
- Bar Operations & Management:
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficient and seamless service.
- Maintain accurate inventory of all bar supplies, including liquor, beer, wine, and mixers.
- Manage bar staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to all sanitation and safety standards.
- Member and Guest Service & Interaction:
- Provide exceptional customer service, anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations.
- Engage with guests, providing recommendations and sharing knowledge of cocktails and spirits.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for all guests.
- Training & Mentorship:
- Train and mentor bartenders on cocktail preparation, service standards, and beverage knowledge.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Inventory & Cost Control:
- Monitor and control bar inventory, minimizing waste and maximizing profitability.
- Develop and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist in the development of bar budgets and cost control measures.
- Adhere to all club policies and procedures.
- Any other duties, as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills that foster a friendly and collaborative atmosphere.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- minimum of 5 years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume, upscale bar or restaurant.
- Proven experience in creating and developing innovative cocktail menus.
- Previous experience in lead or supervisory role is highly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and mixology techniques.
- Exceptional cocktail crafting skills and creativity.
- A commitment to providing exceptional service that makes a difference to our Membership.
- TABC required.
Working Conditions:
- You will be working in variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- You may experience variable noise levels.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, stooping, bending and twisting for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
