Duties
- Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images of specified body parts as requested by physicians
- Position patients correctly to ensure accurate imaging results
- Follow proper protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of information
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze images and provide preliminary findings
Skills
- Proficiency in X-ray imaging techniques including CT scans, mammography, and sonography
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to perform diagnostic radiology procedures with precision
- Familiarity with nuclear medicine and emergency medicine practices
